Hotel

In perhaps the earliest we've ever booked a hotel the first night's hotel is booked.  It's in a town called Ramarama (which, pleasingly - used to be called Sheppards Bush - Yes, spelt that way - I've not typed it wrong).

Flights

The question for the day is can you fly to New Zealand direct.  I'm not sure you can.  Even a "direct flight" lands - throws you throw the hell of security - then back on again.  That's not direct.

Recording

With these road trips, I've often thought these blogs would benefit from some high-speed footage of the driving so I'm going to see if there's a cheap way to record the journey. 

Unless my calculations are wrong then a two-hour journey at one frame a second and played back at YouTube's 24 FPS would give a five-minute video.

Votes for Women

As England marks one-hundred years since women were given the vote you may wonder which country was first.  New Zealand.  It became the first self-governing country in the world in which all women had the right to vote in parliamentary elections in 1893.

Getting ready when we don't need to

It's about eight months away.  Only an idiot would start to think about it so soon.

I've bought three photography books, two notebooks, a book on NZ and some plugs.  Of course.  What else would I do?  SIt and wait?  Obviously.
